How long does a full dog grooming session take?

On average, a full groom takes between 2 to 3 hours, depending on your dogâs breed, coat condition, and behavior. We work on a gentle, one-on-one basis so your dog is never rushed. We will give you a precise time estimate when you drop them off and call or text you as soon as they are ready for collection.

How much does dog grooming cost at Mutts-Nutts?

Our grooming prices vary based on your dog's size, coat type, and the specific treatment required. Please call us on 01733 579578 or pop into our Werrington shop for a personalized quote tailored to your pup.

My dog is very nervous or anxious. Can they still get groomed?

Absolutely. Our salon is a calm, caring environment designed to minimize stress. We take extra time to build trust with nervous, rescue, or elderly dogs, taking breaks whenever they need them. Please let us know about any anxieties or medical conditions when booking so we can tailor the session.

At what age should my puppy have their first grooming session?

We recommend bringing your puppy in for our Puppyâs First Groom session around 12 to 14 weeks of age, or once they are fully vaccinated. This initial visit is a gentle, positive introduction to the sounds of the clippers, dryers, and water.

What happens if my dogâs coat is badly matted?

If your dog has severe matting, we put their comfort and safety first. Dematting a heavily knotted coat can be very painful and distressing. In line with the Animal Welfare Act, we will discuss the best options with you upon arrival, which may involve safely clipping the coat shorter to start fresh.

Do you require dogs to be fully vaccinated?

Yes, for the safety and health of all the furry clients visiting our Werrington salon, we highly recommend that all dogs are up-to-date with their standard routine vaccinations before their grooming appointment.
